No dia 18 de Julho aconteceu em Santiago no Chile o Workshop Internacional \u201cNeg\u00f3cios e Biodiversidade\u201d, organizado pela Fundaci\u00f3n Chile, pelo Instituto LIFE e pelo Minist\u00e9rio do Meio Ambiente do Chile. O evento teve como objetivo apresentar ao p\u00fablico os diferentes aspectos inerentes a neg\u00f3cios e biodiversidade, buscando debater a rela\u00e7\u00e3o do mundo empresarial com a biodiversidade, assim como as oportunidades, riscos e benef\u00edcios de investimentos na conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da natureza. O evento tamb\u00e9m discutiu as iniciativas relacionadas ao tema e que est\u00e3o sendo estimuladas no \u00e2mbito da Conven\u00e7\u00e3o sobre a Diversidade Biol\u00f3gica (CDB) das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas.<\/p>\n
O Workshop contou com a participa\u00e7\u00e3o da Ministra Chilena do Meio Ambiente Mar\u00eda Ignacia Benitez, al\u00e9m de diversos outros especialistas da \u00e1rea. O Presidente do Instituto LIFE, Miguel Milano, apresentou a Certifica\u00e7\u00e3o LIFE como uma ferramenta que relaciona a biodiversidade aos neg\u00f3cios.<\/p>\n

On July 18, took place in Santiago, Chile, the International Workshop “Business and Biodiversity”, organized by Fundaci\u00f3n Chile, LIFE Institute and the Ministry of Environment of Chile. The event aimed to present to the public the different aspects of the business and biodiversity, aiming to discuss the world\u2019s relationship with biodiversity, as well as the opportunities, risks and benefits of investment in nature conservation. The event also discussed the initiatives related to the theme that are being stimulated under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) of the United Nations.<\/p>\n
The Workshop was attended by the Chilean Minister of Environment Mar\u00eda Ignacia Benitez, and many other specialists. LIFE Institute\u2019s President, Miguel Milano, presented LIFE Certification as a tool that links biodiversity to business.<\/p>\n
