Levando em considera\u00e7\u00e3o o atual contexto de desenvolvimento econ\u00f4mico e a necessidade de promover melhores pr\u00e1ticas relacionadas \u00e0 conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da biodiversidade para o setor de neg\u00f3cios, realizou-se no dia 22 de Janeiro, no Peru, o F\u00f3rum Internacional de Neg\u00f3cios e Biodiversidade. Participaram do evento representando o Instituto LIFE, Miguel Milano \u2013 Presidente do Conselho Diretor que fez uma apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o sobre a Certifica\u00e7\u00e3o LIFE; e Maria Alice Alexandre \u2013 Diretora Executiva.<\/p>\n

O f\u00f3rum buscou mobilizar os principais empres\u00e1rios, tomadores de decis\u00e3o e institui\u00e7\u00f5es comprometidas com a gest\u00e3o ambiental para debater as novas oportunidades e riscos que as organiza\u00e7\u00f5es enfrentam em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da biodiversidade.<\/p>\n

Os t\u00f3picos que fundamentaram o evento foram \u201cA biodiversidade como fator de competitividade: Tend\u00eancias Internacionais\u201d, \u201cExperi\u00eancias Empresariais\u201d e \u201cOportunidades para a gest\u00e3o e conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da biodiversidade e dos servi\u00e7os ecossist\u00eamicos\u201d.\u00a0 Entre os palestrantes estavam Braulio Dias – Secret\u00e1rio Executivo da Conven\u00e7\u00e3o das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas para Diversidade Biol\u00f3gica- e David Steuerman – Plataforma Global de Biodiversidade e Neg\u00f3cios, al\u00e9m de outros especialistas no assunto. Ao final do evento, foi lan\u00e7ada a Iniciativa Peruana de Neg\u00f3cios e Biodiversidade.<\/p>\n

Taking into account the current context of economic development, and the need to promote biodiversity conservation best practices for the business sector, it was held on January 22nd<\/sup>\u00a0 in Peru the International Forum on Business and Biodiversity. LIFE Institute was represented by Miguel Milano \u2013 Board President \u2013 that made a presentation about LIFE Certification and Maria Alice Alexandre – Executive Director.<\/p>\n

The forum mobilized key business representatives, decision makers and institutions committed to environmental management to debate biodiversity conservation opportunities and risks for organizations.<\/p>\n

The topics debated during the event were “Biodiversity as a competitive factor: International Trends”, \u201cBusiness Experiences\u201d and \u201cOpportunities for management, biodiversity conservation and ecosystem services”. Among speakers one could mention Braulio Dias-Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity – and David Steuerman – Global Partnership for Business and Biodiversity, and other experts. At the end of the event, it was launched the Peruvian Initiative for Business and Biodiversity.<\/p>\n
